I am looking for a PTO shaft or complete PTO unit for a friend of mine for this tractor. Would this shaft be the same as one for a Farmall 300? Are all 300 model tractor's PTO's the same? Is there a PTO shaft from any other model (International or Farmall) that will interchange? I am not sure of the year of the tractor. My friend said it was between a '55 and '57. If more information is needed to determine the proper part, please let me know and I will try to get it. Thanks for any and all help,

Ronald: Farmall or Utility could be the same. Big question though is which PTO does the tractor have? Transmission driven or Independant PTO? In other words standard or live PTO.

I was looking at pictures of an International 300 and a Farmall 300 and they do not look anything alike. I do not think that the parts would be interchangable. If someone knows for sure, please let me know. I will have to contact my friend to find out the specifics of his tractor and which type of pto it has. I am not sure if he even knows which type he has. Thanks for your help.

Ron: All you need make sure of is doner tractor has same type of PTO. On either given type the only thing different will be the engage lever. The PTO unit itself will be exactly the same for Farmall and Utility, provided the type of PTO is the same.
