I want to put on a new fan belt on my Farmall H. Is the pulley that is supose to move in and out the one with the set screw in it? If it is, any ideas on how to free it up? I took the set screw out and have been spraying down the hole and the pulley with PB Blaster.

The key word here in most all the previous responses is TAP....LIGHTLY. Don"t get carried away smacking it with a big hammer and punch, or it"ll break in half. Been there done that!

If you have an air compressor & air hammer, use a 1/2" flat punch to get things moving. Some heat & lube will help. Just apply pressure on the raised portions of the movable flange.

Thats the one.Take a brass rod and a hammer and tap on one of the raised surfaces on the outside of the pulley.Itll eventually move.I am doing the same on my M,but the pump is off and I was able to take my sidegrinder wit ha wire brush and clean up the threads.Unfortunaly I busted the pulley so I have another coming fro mthe junkyard this weekend.
