I am getting to paint the rims on my BN, and was wondering if silver or aluminum are correct colors?

Im about to use Rust-Oleum Hammered silver spray paint on my rims. It really looks good. A friend sprayed some of his engine parts in his car and it came out nice. It has that galvanized texture and is nicer looking. The link below should take you to the page at rust-oleum"s web site. Comes in several colors too.

Jerry, While the original rims were neither silver or aluminum, but rather were galvanized, I have used both silver argent and aluminum argent have found the silver argent to come closer to duplicating the galvanized effect. I would imagine that ultimately it comes down to a personal choice.

Silver Argent or Rustolium Silver are the two most use. The argent is a tad more greyish in color than the silver.

Bob:

IH IronGard Silver/Argent is a bilingual term. Argent is French for Silver.... and yes you are correct, it is slightly more grey than other vendors Silver, but is pretty good for the rear rims.

Same goes for IH 2150 Red/Rouge or Rouge/Red. Rouge is French for Red....

This is because a lot of IH products are sold in Canada, France etc., where French is a second or primary language.
