Will a distributor drive pump, probably for a previous power steering unit, operate a old style trip bucket loader?I think the pump is for a belhen rig.how much fluid capacity should I have for the loader? This is on a 51 H, and I have no idea how much pressure and flow these pumps have.

I have a pump between the timing gears and the distributor on an M with a Behlen and run a DuAll 325 loader. This loader has power both ways on the boom, bucket, and attachment. My pressure relief valve is set at about 1100 psi. The loader is not the fastest, but it is live hydraulics which makes up for it.

I would think that it should handle a trip bucket loader.
