just took off the 9.5-15 tires on the front of my 460 utility,i could not turn this thing with the loader setting still.so went and got some 600-16 rims and mounted some new tires and am currently running about 35psi but the tires as you look at em from the side are somewhat flat on the bottom like they need more air,how much can i run in them,i might add that now i can turn the tires at a standstill with the loader.
so i am very happy with the results but if i could go another 10-15 lbs i think it would really turn good.the darn tires have no pressure limits whatsoever stamped on em.just wondering whats a safe pressure!!!

Cat,

I've got this little H under a loader with either 6.00 or 6.50 (can't remember). Anyway, I always put 55 lbs in 'em.

The ply rating of the tires and the rating of the wheels determines how much pressure the tires can safely hold and how much weight the wheels can safely carry. The basic tires (4 ply rating) and wheels are pretty light for loader use. 6 ply or even 8 ply tires on upgraded rims are better, of course for heavy loader work. Your local tractor tire repair shop should be able to give you the pressure specs, etc. for each. Be safe!

I"ve gone up to 45 lbs with no problems, but I"m not saying that that is a safe pressure, just what I have done.
