I was going to use my M to run a square Baler and do not have a ORC on the tractor. Do any of you fellows use a M to bale without the ORC on the PTO? I usually use a 135 MF to run the baler but she is in another location at the time. Thanks for input in advance.

There has been millions of bales made with out an ORC cause when the M was new there werent any available. Just slip it out of gear either pto or tranny.

Most balers I have seen have their own over running clutch on the flywheel end of the PTO shaft. If your"s doesn"t have one you should use one on the tractor end.

So Hayfarmer a slip clutch normally found on baler and other PTO powered equipment is the same as an ORC?

to answer your question most balers have a over running clutch ahead of the slip clutch. the balers that i have had all have had this feature.
