H Motor year differences

Hi People I have two H motors to tare down One 1947 and one 1940 or 41 cant remember witch. what are the differences between them Crank? Block, Rods,Wrist pins maybe ? Please let me know If and what are interchangable. THANKS JON

All the same for that year, they changed the crank, and the wrist pins in the 300-350, so unless you have an engine pre 1953, all the H parts will go right in to interchange, but if you are going through all that,, why not upgrade to the 350 engine kit? ChadS

I'm in the same situation with 41 and 52 H engines. I need to find out the same info. The 41 was busted because water got down the stack. One sleve was pushed through the water jacket. The crank in the 41 looks better than the 52, but haven't measured either yet. I have noticed the 41 block has freeze plugs in the back of the engine, and the 52 doesnt have any. I'm trying to save everything I can out of the busted engine. So far I have saved everything but two pistons. After a rest, I'll start beating on em again.
