Im gonna paint the old 1206 and was wondering what you guys thought is the best paint to use? Also if anyone knows where I can buy the 1206 metal side emblems? All I can get from my CIH dealer is stickers. Thanks in advance.

Case-IH 2150 red at a minimum, a step up is PPG, DuPont, etc acrylic enamel, a step up from that is acrylic urethane. I don't know the white code -- I need to find that out also. If you use hardener, you need a supplied air system because a charcoal filter mask will not filter out the isocyanates in the hardener. Be sure to use an epoxy primer as the first coat.

If the white on the 1206 is the same as the white on the early Cub Lo Boys (i.e. 1959 model) I've used PPG MAE 8365 A, It has a slightly "Greenish" cast to it which makes the creamy white color on the two tone Farmall's. Not sure what year the 1206 is but if it's close I bet 8365 A is your color....

Provided it crosses to the original IH number -- that's the one I don't remember -- shouldn't be hard to find, I'm not ready to paint yet.
