I looked at a 884 today. It has 5000 hours, good front/rear tires, 70 Hp, shed kept, good paint, original aftermarket radio (still works), and new lights installed by the dealer all the way around. They want $8400 for it. what did you pay for something of this size and do you think its worth it? Thanks in advance.

I just sold a 885 with cab and Dual loader. Tractor was completely gone through with overhaul, clutch etc. Sold for $16,000 and had 3 people fighting over it.

My neighbors up the road have one..... ..... ...It ain"t a bad tractor, although theirs has seen some loader use on a 2250 IH loader, but all in all a good machine IMO.

I wouldn"t pay that for one, but I suppose they are probably fetching that around here.

Probably ok, but I had a bad experience with a 784 (one model down, I believe) once -- the tractor was a true lemon, probably an isolated case, but I would prefer a 706/756, even if it is older. Or a 656, somewhat less power.
