I'm wondering if it's possible to convert a 4 bottom Ih 60 plow down to 3 bottoms. Saw something mentioned once about removing the offset rear beam, just checking to see if this is true and how tricky it would be. Thanks for the help.

I just bought a 3-14 #60 plow also this summer, it was equiped with mechanical lift . In my quest for more information about this plow I turned to the 1965 buyer guide that dealers mailed to their customers years ago. In the book there are a few pages about plows and the caption that goes with the #60 says "Four and 3-bottom sizes can be quicly, easily reduced by one bottom as conditions warrant".

I also just went and looked in the operators manual for the #60 and it shows 2 pages of instructions for reducing the plow size by one bottom. Looks pretty easy. Happy plowing, MN Charlie
