I live on the west coast and the past few years the summers here have been very dry, forest fires are now a threat all over our area. People are setting up sprinkler systems to protect their homes and property, but in my location water can be a little scarce in late summer. Enough for a house, but start pumping out large amounts and the well will dry out fairly quickly.I was thinking of setting up a system with a large tank that I could fill through my eavestroughs in the winter, and just recirculate that water in the summer with sprinklers on the roof. My question is what kind of pump could I run with my super A? Does this system sound reasonable or am I just wasting my time? As I right this we have had 5 inches of rain in the past 4 days so there is no need to worry for this year. Thanks!

JD. You might want to work backwards. How much water (gpm) will you need. Size of tank. Number of sprinkler heads. Size of pipe. Then check with any tractors store or ind. suppy for a PTO pump that will work with on the HP you have (19.06). You might have to go a hyd. pump and motor to get the gpm that you need or want. Hpoe this gives you a starting point. Morgan
