Save yourself a headache. I have riveted bands many moons ago and they do not work very well. IH band brakes are excellent. Not all that much more money and you get a quality product. If I recall, around $50 each give or take on the H, $75 on the M.

Ken,
Just my 2 cents worth, but be careful about buying off-brand, i.e. non Case-IH, bands. I bought a couple of bands for my Farmall H off of eBay and thought I got a good deal, however when I installed them they were a bit too long. To get any brake at all, I had to turn the adjusters all the way in. I"ve heard this same story from some others regarding the aftermarket bands. Hope this helps,
Larry

Just a thought. I found it only cost a few bucks more at the Case/IH dealer to purchase new bands with linings.

Find a local brake reline shop and have them put a thicker lining on your old bands.
