On our recent road trip from the panhandle up to WI/MI and then across PA and down through VA/TN/AL, we stopped to pick up a Cub we bought from an online state government auction. When we arrived to pick the tractor up, I mentioned to the fellow helping us that it was the wrong tractor. He assured me that we were getting the correct tractor. (Who am I to argue with a state employee???) Long story short---the "Cub" we bought was actually a 140. I guess sometimes things work out better than you pray for.....

Kevin, you mentioned the "panhandle" I spend a lot of time near Pensacola. Always like to see old tractors.

Bob,

We're in Pace, north and a little east of P'cola. Where are you located?

This reminds me of my area….most all Farmalls are Supers …then there are the Cub A’s, Super A’s and the little red Farmall Cubs made by Massey Harris.
All the old John Deere’s are “one lungers” or 2 cycle.
The Ford Jubilee’s are 1954, 55 or 56….sometimes as high as 1959. Once in awhile there is a forties model Jubilee for sale. Most old Fords are 8 N’ s …..no 9N’s or 2N’s but they may be a 600 series 8N.
A few years ago on a local radio station swap shop, someone had a set of magnetic wheels and a tack-O-meter for sale for your Hot Rod.
It kinda makes a person smile, but ….there are million things that I can’t identify….so I suppose I make a few smiles for others as well.

Would you mind telling what you paid for that Cub? Just curious.

Kevin: You can't knock that one, enjoy your 140. Your living proof that bureaucrats really do make this world a better place.
