A deal perhaps, but I have a overhauled, gone thru, etc. 300 that runs like a champ, TA is perfect, wide front, independent PTO, Twin cylinder 3pt. hitch, and 3 remotes (one in use for the 3pt.)
One new rear tire, rest hold air and are varying degrees of weathered.

New Chrome cover on coil. Makes it look fast. Or at least like it has a chrome cover on the coil.

Will pull my 3-14 IH Mdl 70 plow through clayey soil. ('course it helps that I have 900lbs of weight on the rear axle.)

Sand blasted metal, Two year old paint. Every thing on it works. Much new.

$4000. Yep. $4000.

FYI did you know the Case-IH distrubutor cam for these goes for $382.00?? WOW!

Boy, Dunno

That 300 is only two jumps ahead of a H, don't forget. Don't you think he's a little high?

'Course this is coming from a guy who spent 40 years worth of allowance on one recently.

Depends on how bad ya want 'er, I guess.

Allan

Offer him 850 and see how he acts. There is always an asking price and a selling price, and often times they are miles apart.

Starts hard when it is hot outside doesn"t make much sense to me. You need to ask a few more questions I think. I also think the price is at least twice what it should be.

Sounds steep to me also, but then I'm cheep to begin with. Watched a 300 with good rubber, aftermarket 3 point, old loader with leakey cylinders and 2 remotes (one to the three point - one to the loader - none left) sell at auction on Sunday and it brought $2800. Metal was good but paint was nonexistant.
