Our 1960 Cub has the 6V sealed beam headlights. The lamp housings are the teardrop shape, but the lamps are the sealed beam type. One is burned out. Does anyone know what wattage these bulbs are and also the best source for replacements? Our manual lists these as #1133, 32 candlepower "bulbs" , but I think this info is for a regular replacement bulb, not the sealed beam type bulbs. Are the sealed beam type bulbs not original? Our manual doesn't mention the sealed beam lights.

The teardrop shaped bulbs were used until something around '53 (I don't remember the exact time.) 1133 is the correct bulb for that light. After that they used the flat light. It had a sealed beam with 1 screw in the center of the back. repros of that unit are available. In '58, they went to a round light with a different sealed beam. This one had 2 lugs side by side, enclosed inside the housing. I don't know if the original bulb is available but several of the same size are. This would have been on a '60 model. When they went to 12 volts (about '64) they used a light similar to the round one, but with a connector plug on the back.

Rear lights are a more complicated story.

1133 is a 6-volt bulb, the standard bulb used in the Farmall non-sealed beam lights with 6-volt systems. I would think that since you have the teardrop lights, they would be original with the 1133 bulb. Someone replaced the bulb with sealed beams later on. A replacement 6-volt sealed beam is $33.00 from OEM Tractor Parts.
