I"m new to antique tractors, and I would like to know something about Torque Amplifiers. What types have it? H, M, C, not a B, I have one of those, W4, W6, and the super series of these.

Thank you!

Super MTA was the first and only letter series. Along with the Super W6TA. After that the 300,400,W400, and the later tractors in the 50 and 60 series. I don't believe the Super W/WD9 series had a TA. Never on an A,B,C,H, or Super (A,C,H) or the later 00, 30, and 40 series.

Actually they did make a Super H with a TA but it never made it to the market. I saw several of these at the Red Power Roundup in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa this past June.

Those you seen at the RED POWER were custom built for fun as they were never produced by the factory.

Actually, those were probably Farmall 300s or 350s chassis with Super H superstructures (i.e. hoods and hydraulics) on top. The Super HTA, to the best of the knowledge I"ve gleaned from this forum and elsewhere, never made it past the prototype stage before they just said "to heck with it" and went ahead with the 300.

I´m pretty sure our Farmall 340 had a TA.

Sorry, I forgot about the 340, I was thinking 240, the replacement of the 230, and 140, the replacement for the 130. The 330 could also be equipped with a TA.
