I painted the tractor after it being apart for almost a year. Last night, after the kids were in bed, I got that big box of new parts.....ameter, wiring harness, spark plugs, oil filter, wires, etc, and started putting them on. The stuff I had cleaned up over the winter....magneto (had fun timing it, hopefully it will run), main switch, etc.

The bad news is that the manifold that I had cleaned up has numerous holes in it. At some point this tractor had an exhaust lift, and the manifold had been welded on a few times. So I'm waiting for that to get here. In the meantime, I'm having fun.

The wife even commented that I wasn't dirty after coming in at 11 last night.

Pictures soon.

Take Care
Steve

Sounds good Steve, on more than one occasion, my wife has asked over the intercom to the shop if I want my pillow brought out. You just lose track of time when working on old iron.

My favorite time is polishing the exterior engine and bell casting with 600 grit. Get that mirror shine before I paint it. :)
