GOT MY 230 STARTED TODAY. FIRST TIME IT HAS RUN IN NEARLY 5 YEARS. TOOK A LITTLE BIT OF WORK, PARTS AND SOME IDEAS FROM THIS FORUM. NOW I NEED A TIRE. THE ONE I NEED TO MATCH IS A 36". THE SIZE ON THE GOOD TIRE READS 11.2/36 -10/36 ON 10" RIM. THE BAD TIRE I AM REPLACING IS A 10/36 AND IS NOT AS TALL AS THE GOOD TIRE. I'D LIKE TO MATCH THE TALLER TIRE . AM I TO LOOK FOR AN 11.2/36" OR WILL SOMETHING ELSE WORK. I AM LOCATED IN CENT. VA AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND A GOOD USED TIRE. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I SHOULD LOOK . THANKS IN ADVANCE. C C

We may be able to help with this. We have a Firestone F&R 45deg tread that needs a boot or a offbrand 23deg with 90% tread, both 11.2's. We are between Fredericksburg and Warrenton, VA.

You need 11.2-36. 10-36 is the older designation, the two tires are the same size. 11.2 is the cross-section at the widest point in the sidewall, 10 is the tread width. The 11.2 on the tractor is probably a 6 ply, the 10 is a 4 ply, the difference in height is noticable, as you say.
