A guy has what he says is a cub for sale, he says it didn"t come with electric start. This has me confused as I have not seen the tractor. He said it has a belly mower, but the tactor needs a clutch. He said he also has the parts to convert to electric start. He said he would take 300 dollars for it. Good price? any guess what it is?

Sounds like a great deal. Just paid $700 for one - runs - clutch stuck, small radiator leak. Around $200 for new pressure plate, disk, and throwout bearing. - - and I think I got a good deal.

Brent:

I agree with John. At $300.00 it is a steal! Buy it quick before BigDog finds out about it, or anyone else for that matter.

If I was a little closer, you would already be out of luck, cause it would be in my back yard at that price!!! NO questions asked.

I am still lookin for Jed!

Electric start was an option on the early cubs, though I've never seen one without it. If it will run, it's a steal for $300. You can get 500 for it just for salvage. If you don't want it and it's near eastern Mo., I'd gladly be interested in it. To learn a lot about cubs go to the link below. A good starting point is the FAQ links
