Hey guys.

Anybody happen to know a paint code number for a base coat/clear coat version of Farmall Red? I'm looking for something like a NAPA number, since that's where I'll be getting my paint. Are there even numbers for the clear coat, or do you just have a generic clear and a specific color coat? Thanks!

Jeb

I have always had trouble getting the cross reference for NAPA part #'s and paint questions are no different. So, I researched it myself, I have used this color and it works well: NAPA
Formula: 99 - 4115 Acrylic Enamel - Single Stage Color: Harvester Red (Martin-Senour Paint is NAPA's paint supplier). You can go to the Martin Senour web page and look at other low VOC options.

Thanks Tom;

I may have them mix up a sample of that and spray it for me so I can compare it to the stock "IH red" that I think they have in a chip book.

Jeb:

I know the link below is for a Cub Manual site, but hey, if the info is there use it right?!

Click on the link, then go to Paint, Decals and Other Finish ?'s, then the Paint Chart. The cross reference numbers are there.

I am currently using Nason which is a Dupont product supplied by NAPA/UAP. Works good, I likes it!

Your supplier should easily be able to cross the single stage number to the base-clear. Don't know about NAPA, but IH 50 is PPG/Dupont 70019/7410; 2150 is 71310/96766. The codes probably won't change for the base coat, but your supplier will know. Use the clear that is recommended for the base, it will have no specific number.
