Getting ready to put the head on my H and was wanting to know what the torque sequence is for the bolts . I know that the head torques at 70 foot pounds. and also is it necessary to seal the studs that go through in the block. Thanks for any help. also is there any need to spray the head gasket with a sealer, thanks again.

Start in the middle and spiral out towards the ends. Follow the torque sequence that Jon gave. Re-torque after the engine comes up to operating temperature and cools off. I did not use a sealer and have a tiny oil leak under the spark plugs. When it is due for a valve adjustment, I'll re-re-torque the head, it will be fine.
