Been out on the tractor swathing hay and am froze clear to death. Next thing it will be 100 again. Been like this all summer, too cold or too hot. Up and down, up and down. The thermometor has pulled the nail plum out of the wall. Only one thing stays constant. It seldom ever rains enough to do much good. My sorghum is burning up and falling over.

What summer ? It'll be in the lower 40s tonight. Peppers won't set fruit when it is below 60 degrees at night. Tomatoes think that they have all winter to ripen. Muskmelons are the size of softballs. Thankfully it is the dog days of August, otherwise we'd have frost.

gotta agree on the spring water, I'm usually watching how much we use this time of year. I've only used the pool once this year. The kids however aren't bothered by cool water they use it daily.

Hey Cowman, Yep, youre right about this summer! Darn crazy weather. Went down in the 40s the other night up here in Vt, actually felt kinda good, but if I was ridin a tractor all day in that I would be pretty cold especially after some of that hot weather! We have gotten a ton of rain, gotta mow the lawn every few days! Also, washed out my driveway!

Rains here almost everyday. I can count the number of times I have seen the sun thus far this summer on one hand. Pool doesn't get used, and lawnmower needs to have the blades sharpened again! Then when I do mow I leave tracks all over the lawn. Feels like a combination of early spring (rain) and late fall (cold dreary days).
