Just found a u9 power unit and was wandering what is the H.P. and how much to rebuild if it needs it? What would it be worth? Thanks.

Where abouts do you live? How did you come about finding this engine? Any idea if there would be any more? I'm a young fellow collecting power units. I have a U1,2,4,6, and a UD24, but I'm always looking for more. Please help if you can!

Hey Lee, I was just looking at old talk on yesterday tractor and saw where you were collecting International power unit's. I have a U9 gas power unit that runs fine, I'm asking $900.00 for it and I live in Eustis, Florida. That is about 60 miles north of Orlando. This unit was being used to pump an 18" well and push a 6" water cannon for a hay field.

They are in the range of 55 HP. It is the same engine as a W9 tractor. Depends on what it would need for a rebuild. Restored it might go for $500 to $1000. Depends on what someone would want to pay.

Don't know rebuild cost but here are some specs for you. Same basic engine as W-9 engine. As power unit: 334.5 cu in, 4.4" x 5.5", 55 rated hp at 1500 rpm, 227 torque at 1000 rpm, 5.40 compression ratio, weight 1760 lbs less skids or legs.
