HELP! Im doing a motor job on my M. Im down to the point where I'm ready to remove the block from the rest of the tractor. Questions:

1. There are two threadded bolts, one behind the starter and one on the bottom. Are these just alignment studs?

2. When I remove the block, does the clutch assembly come with the fly wheel or do i need to unbolt it?

What do I need to do now to remove the block from the clutch housing?

Im not sure whats behing the flywheel.. Im trying to avoid any suprises

Thanks
Bartley

the treaded bolts you see are alignment studs, the clutch will come out on the flywheel. When you reassemble the clutch you will have to use some king of alignment tool to get the plate centered. just keep the motor supported level and it should come out and back in fine.

Don't know about the M, but on the H engine, there is one bolt inside the starter hole. Remove the starter to see it. Ken
