Hello,
Could you help me and tell me why my loader won't pick up any weight? It will work fine with the bucket empty, When I bought the tractor, got it home and I noticed one hyd. cyl. wasn't hooked up, I put the connection on it, tried it and it still did the same thing. I was told by the farmer I bought it from that the hyd. fluid he uses is 30 weight non-deter.,, I call the tractor dealer and he said to drain it out and put 80-90- weight in it, The dealer said that is what is suppose to be in it, not 30 weight. And of coarse the old farmer said no way !! So anyway, I can't get it to pick up a small bucket of firewood, or sand more then 3-4 feet high. can you tell me whitch one is right and what should I do to fix it? I was also told that somewhere there is a check valve or something to turn to afjust the lifting power, I can't find that either, does anyone know where it is? Thanks Tim

If you can lift 3 feet high now, your problem is that you are low on oil. 30 weight is prefered. Your dealers advise is totally wrong.
Also be sure that your lines are on the 2 forward outlets and not one on the rear outlet. That one is a delayed port. You don't need a return on the cylinders, but don't plug them off though. I have 2 cylinders for a 31 if you need them. They will be priced right.

30 wt NON DET. is the prefered. Hy-Tran will work too but it may leak more if you have bad seals and your pump may not develop as much pressure. Just a guess but do you have enough oil in the hyd. system? If it is the #31 loader you have to take out the lift-all dipstick on the filler pipe , remove the cap and install a T pipe for the 2 cylinder returns (Lower pressure). Fill the lift-all all the way up, raise the loader as far as it will go then add more oil if it won't go all of the way up.

Slow down. No absulutly not 90w... Put in Hytrain if avalible like from tractor supply or sams or something like that. Or you can use 20w or 30w It does not have to be non detergent. There is no adjustment on the outside . On some of the early belly pumps they put a valve in that made like 500lbs pressure and then later they went to one that put out like 750Lbs You can tell by a yellow figure 8 or something like that on the valve. Get a IT manual it will tell everything you need to know. JON
