I am looking at an International tractor and am told it is a 404 but it sits low like a low_boy. I saw some earlier posts about an IH 2404 low_boy but not much information. I don't have the seriel number. Would the value be about the same for either? The only value I can find is for the 404

Price will depend on condition rather than model. I really doubt if there will be any difference in price between the models in the same condition, if there is it will probably favor the utility models -- the 404 utility, or the 2404 industrial version.

I may be wrong but I think the 404 is the Farmall row crop version and the 2404 is the International utility version.

That's correct, but there was also an International 404 utility.

According to the Hot Line equipment books both models (404 and 2404) were available with the low-boy option. If the serial no. plate is still intact it seems like it would tell which it is. All else being equal, I would guess that the value would be similar.

There was a Farmall 404, International 404, International 404 Low Boy, International 2404, and International 2404 Low Boy. Five total maodels of 404.
