Need wiring diagram for Farmal 140, 6 VDC positive ground. Having problems with charging system. Tractor has sat in storage for 3 years without being cranked. I have it running but the charging system is not working. Also,is there a need to re-polarize the charging system? Thanks

Rocky: All Farmall tractors of that era had an excellent wiring diagram in the IH operators manual supplied with the tractor when new. Even a manual from a late SA or SC, 100, 200, 130, 230, etc. will show you what you need to know. These all had the regulator just below the generator, whereas the 140 has it on clutch housing, but the connections will be the same.

That failing, your best bet is have a talk with the Farmall wiring guru here at YT, Bob M.
