I performed this conversion on my super H. I did not use the L it is not needed. I ran the Sense line to the hot side of the Igntion switch and the IG line is switched 12V. I installed new brushes in the alt. and am totally satisfied. 14.7V

The L terminal is for the warning light. The S terminal is the sense - run this to your battery stud. Are you sure the G terminal isn't really the IG terminal? This would be to an ignition switch.

S is the same as the Delco 10SI pin 2.
IG is the same as the Delco 10SI pin 1.

L terminal might not need to be used. If it is used, tie it to a charge warning lamp.
