Hi guys, on saturday we brought the w-6 away to get the engine unstuck, we brought it to the guy who fixed are a with the cracked block. we got there about 8 in the morn, and started putting it back together at lunch time.We got the head off, and i started cleaning it up, the guy started workin on the piston, it was the back one, we pounded it with a block of wood, it moved it a little bit, then we wrapped a chain around the tractor, put the block of wood over the piston, put a jack on the wood, and put the chain over the jack and started pumpin!!!, That got it loose. We went to put the head on, then he got a light and looked closer, it had a crack in it, that explains the seizing up part, the prestone leaked in to the back cylinder. So up to the old barn we went, he had a SM head, so we took it, cleaned it up and stuck er in. Its got fire crater pistons in it, Do they give the tractor a bit more power? Now we have to get a new manifold for it, then it will sound better. Now i'm not so iffy on takin an engine apart, theres nothin to it. Once we put it back together, We got the SMTA out, hooked the belt up and she fired after a little carb cleanin and adjusting. So now thats one more tractor goin out of our 6.
