I have M frame rails that are solid but several of the slots are egged-out from a loader or other implement. How do I repair these?

Randy this was common, but you can fix it very well. This is what we did back in the 60's 70's when I worked on them for living. First let me say how I came to this fix. If you look at a 706, 806, 656 you will see they have grade 8 cap screws an not lock washer, I never saw on loose even with a lot of loader work. So clean out the threads good then get some grade 8 cap screws and grade 8 (SAE) flat washers and a little oil and tighten them as tight as you can. Ir the threads are good don't drill over size if bad you may have to drill over size. The most importen thing no lock washer.

I think M frame rails are pretty common. Why not replace them ? Or, you could keep them to show that it was a working tractor. If you are bent on repair, welding, grinding, and filing seem in order.
