Hello,

Can someone inform me how timing the ignition and what is the firing order and where first cylinder spark plug cable has to fitted on distributor?
I never started it before but wants to check out first this.

The distributer is counter clockwise rotation if you are facing the front of the tractor. The # 1 cylinder is marked on the outside of the cap. The timing on all IHC's is 1-3-4-2. Now the tricky part, The ignition power is switched in the front part of the intake manifold. If it's a mag it is grounded there on diesel, if it's a distibuter it breaks (opens) on diesel run. To set timing go through the normal process of finding TDC etc. get an IT manual and a lot of questions are answered. Have fun Geoff
