Hi, I think I found the plug for the transmission of my tractor, but how much oil is supposed to be in the transmission. The plug that was mission is right where the cross from the trans. is to the right wheel, if that helps.

Thanx!

My trusty owner's manual says that the capacity for the tranny is 4.5 quarts for tranny NOT equipped with PTO and belt pulley, 5 quarts for PTO equipped only, 5.5 quarts for one equipped WITH PTO and belt pulley. SAE 90.

Matt, I think it was about 2 gallons or so. Fill to the level of the level plug, which is on the left (port) side of the tranny and is probably obscured by the brake rod. Should be fine using 90 wt gear oil.
