I have a 234 International compact tractor. I think it's a 18 hp. I can't find anything out about this tractor as far as how long it was in production and how many were made. Can anyone help?

The IH 234 as previously mentioned was made by mitsubishi, under their tractor name of ISEKI.
ISEKI also made Diesel Bolens, some Utility White, some Utility AC, some Utility MF, and of course the Case/IH under 40hp diesel (currently sold by MTD.
I (bought new) have an ISEKI Bolens (H1502), which is the same as the 234 hydro (different body though). My engine is the K3A, and it is rated at 15 pto hp, it will handle both cat 0 and cat 1 attachments.
Hope this is of some help. /LR/

I have a 234 that the shifter sticks when going from forward to reverse. There is a plate on the side of the transmission that appears it can be
removed for inspection. If anyone has some advise
on this please respond.

We have a 244 at the airport with a 60" woods mower. It handles the mower real well. Ours has had a lot of use, previousely used by the city parks dept., but seems to keep coming back for more. I don,t think you can wear out the engine. A couple of years ago someone plugged the radiator and they were always overheating the engine, but it didn't seem to hurt it. Not a bad little tractor.

I have 234 IH, it's 4 X 4 with a 3cyl diesel and front loader plus a box blade, 6' plow blade and ripper attachment. I ws wondering what the sell price would be for the entire package.

Stan,

I know absolutely nothing about the 234. I have one serial number list that says it was introduced in 1982 starting with with serial number 8001. I think it is some kind of Japaneese tractor with IH paint color and name on it but I don't know what brand it really is.
