Just brought home my latest toy today. It's a 1957 Farmall 350 Diesel with TA, power adjustable rears, power steering, triple Hydrotouch. It is very straight with the only rust being around the battery box. Nearly always shedded. Anyone know how many 350 diesels were made out of the 12,291 total? Any inherent problems to keep my eye out for? Thanks for any input.

When I was in high school (around 1968) my grandfather let have a Farmall 350D to do some work at the school and at a little farm were my mom kept some horses. I let it freeze one night. Back then, around here, a lot of tractors didn't get antifreeze; the few times each winter it might would freeze you would drain them. After we got the crack welded up, he trusted me one more time. Since I was too ignorant to check the oil every day, I soon got a chance to learn how to do a full engine rebuild.
I don't suppose these problems could be linked to the model of tractor, though. I remember it's being a really good one. Take off up the road in 5th with the TA pulled back and soon as the black smoke clears shove it forward, it roars again. Sweet.

4,191 diesels. The 193 is very expensive to work on. Parts are not easy to find. So far, I really like my 350U diesel though.
