I have a farmall h that was not running when I bought it. It runs now but not well. I was wondering if the carb is correct for this h. I have had a few people tell me the carb looks wrong. The h serial number is 305194 the number on the carb is 50981DC. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Your carb is correct. 50981 DC is the gasoline carb. The people who say it looks small may be confusing it with the Super H carb, which is similar to the one on the M.

I'm not sure, but you might have the small carb that was on the distillate engines. My "H" has the same, and it has a D in the number on that little round plate on the carb. However, mine runs OK with the small carb, at least with the use I give it. That's mostly driving around with no load of any kind.

I'm lost when it comes to #'s on carbs. Can you post a picture of this carb? That would be sure to get you an answer! If you haven't got a picture and no one else can help, then I will check my carb tomorrow and let you know.(My H is # 353066 )---Jeff
