What is the best type (brand name) of over run clutch to get for a 53 Super C? Are there different styles? If so which is the best and why? And how much should I expect to pay? Thanks in advance.

Watch eBay if you are not in a hurry. I have seen them go for $20 brand new on there.

I just wanted to add that you need to grease the overrun clutch when you grease the tractor. There should be two grease fittings on it. Doug.

There are two types of overrun couplers. One is 1 1/8 by 1 3/8 and the other is 1 3/8 by 1 3/8. All the Farmall after 1943 use the 1 3/8 by 1 3/8. you can get them at a tractor store for from $55 to about $80. I got mine 2 years ago at the IH dealer for $55, They are a must for bush hogging if you don't have live PTO.
