I have a California Orchard 10-20, and the most characteristic thing about them is the lack of a belt pulley. Not just the pulley, but there is no way to install one. The casting over the clutch housing is completely different. It is smooth. The shorter steering column, etc. is typical of all the later orchards. California Orchards also have a different transmission, but that is not so easy to tell from the outside. Any more questions, just ask!

Thanks Mike I'm thinking I must have a standard orchard model with PTO as this tractor has the belt pulley identical to standard 10 20's

I agree with you! It is very likely one of several orchard versions that IH made. There are at least 5 or 6 different types including narrow treads, low seats, Florida types, etc. They are quite fun to collect!
