Auburn / IH Clutch?

I'm rebuilding a repalcement engine for my 41 H. The enging I found is out of a 52, and has a Auburn clutch. Are the clutch disk the interchangable? I don't recall seeing parts listed anywhere for the Auburn. I haven't split the tractor yet, so I don't know which clutch the 41 has. The serial # on the 41 engine isn't stamped X-23 like the 52 model, so I assume its a IH clutch. Ant words of wisdom on which clutch is the best? Thanks Ken

kfox: I hesitate to answer this as I've mot had a lot to do with pre 55 tractors. Prior to 55 I think they were all Auburn. I know my 130 and 140 are both Rockford clutches. Since a replacment 10 years ago my Super A is also Rockford. The early clutch on my Super A was a 3 spring pressure plate. The Rockford pressure plate has 6 springs. Unless your clutch is in awfully good shape, I would change to a Rockford. Very superior to anything IH used prior to 55. I know you can get a Rockford for all letter series tractors.
