Hello,

My friend replaced the oil filter on his Super C
and then it started leaking oil. He said he wondered if there was supposed to be a seal there. He did not see one. Can someone help
us here? If there is a seal, does anyone have
the part #. It's a 1951 Super C.

Thanks

Warren, There is a rubber gasket at the base of the domed cover over the oil filter. It is recessed in a groove and will have to be dug out with a small screwdriver or icepick. Your NAPA dealer will have a cross ref and the gasket usually comes with the oil filter.
