Hello , My old tractor started to make a knocking sound in the motor yesterday after doing alittle work with it. The two central cylinders have been fowling the plugs the past 2 to 3 years. Without having to tear the old girl apart how can l determin whats causing the noise.l use this tractor for running an old planer. Its a 1953 Super W4.

Steve, a knock is never a good thing!! If you wait too long to find it, it will come looking for you! lol How is your oil pressure, if it's low, suspect your bearings are shot and you are looking at pretty much a complete rebuild from the sound of the oil fouled plugs.
