Folks I need your help. I need to know if a clutch and pressure plate from a 1951 M will fit in a 1953 SM? Both have a two bolt starter. I would need to change the flywheel and ring gear also. Thanks, Marv

Do you need a 12" pressure plate. I have one that would not fit my 12" M flywheel because it hit on the belly pump. Works fine without the belly pump for 12 inch use. Reasonable. (563)583-3714

It is the same for a M and early (serial number specific) Super M, years are not sure way to determine this, if you can see drive set-up in parts book it very easy to id.

The SM's had inch bigger clutch than M never had to split the M's to replace clutch but had to split SM's to replace clutch because of inch bigger clutch. IF THE HUB on M cranshaft dor the flywheel is the same as SM I din't see why it would not work The late M's had same bearings as SM so maybe the flywheels will inter change.
