This message is for Bob M or anyone else with information on wiring diagrams for a 1953 Super M with factory LPG. My tractor has a separate push button starter switch rather than the pull wire with button on the starter I am familiar with. Is this factory, if so I need to see a wiring diagram with the push button included. Thanks to anyone.

Hey W6... I'm not familiar with the LPG SM, nor do I have a wiring diagram for it. I'd suspect however it was originally equipped with a manual (pull rod) starter switch, then subsequently changed over to a pushbutton/solenoid configuration later - though that's just a guess.

Anyway the solenoid circuit wiring is straightforward: From the hot side of the ignition switch, run to either terminal on the push button, then from the other pushbutton terminal to the small terminal on the solenoid. (Or to the small terminal labelled "S" if the solenoid has 2 terminals...)

Does this help?

Thanks, Bob. I don't think it has a solenoid. Looks like the wiring may be like the older style that had the large push button. Just trying to make sure before I started rewiring.
Thanks
