I just inherrited a model B and it needs alot of attention.I have an owners manual for it but will need a service and lots of advice on it.I got it tu runin well enough just a carb and or governor glitch, a noise in trany when in 3 rd gear, and some gaskets or seals in the rear end. Any help or advice woud be very much appreciated!

These tractors didn't have the quietest tranny to begin with, but if yours is really bad, it could be a gear with a bad tooth, or two, or a bad bearing.

Gaskets and parts are mostly still readily available through your nearest CNH dealer.

I have a '42 B, and its gear noise will drive you near insanity. I was told it was due to straight-cut gears?????
