working on a 400 gas that belongs to a neighbor kid .the cam dont turn Iknow the fix for that here's the real problem; its also getting water in the crankcase looks like the block may have been welded between no 3 cyl and the center cam brg. any sugestions? did Isay that we're on a low budget? it don't leak much about 1 oz in a week just sitting. thanx

I have found that adding a tablespoon or two of ground pepper (the kind in the pepper shaker on your dining room table) will slow or eliminate a lot of coolant leaks. My local radiator repair man recommends it as a "temporary" fix for combine radiators until after harvest is complete and there is more time to take the radiator off for permanent repairs.
