Here is my problem. I put one of those valves on the filler pipe and it wants to boil out the vent hole in the filler cap. Whats the deal? Do I need to use and unvented cap and will this cause other problems?

If you are talking about the christmas tree arrangement, the cap should not be vented if you are using two way operation. We had a filler cap on our tractors that had a vent that could be opened or closed depending on if the system were used for one way or two way operation.

Hope this helps, Bob

yup, thats the deal! I had seen caps with some kind of srew valve on them and got to wondering if that was the reason. I've got plenty caps and will just switch to an unvented one. Thanks!

Can I assume that a Farmall 300 operating two way should also use an unvented cap? Appreciate your response. Dick Davis
