Well I filled the block full of water today and its all still there I waited about 5 Hr and no water in pan I am stumped. I am still beginning to wonder if somebody dumped a gal of antifreeze in that block for a cheap buy or a Joke I know there still could be a hair line crack I am missing but its hard to imagin a gal of antifreeze getting in block from a small hair line crack. You need to start it up and get it hot that will tell the story.

The only way this old girl will get hot is if I start her on fire. She needs a complete rebuild. I just dont know if I should get another motor. JON

You can also pull block take it a rebuilder and have it bead blasted to see it it is cracked. This is less expense than buying a block.

Around here, NAPA does it. You will want to find one that has a complete machine shop in the back.
