Hi ya gang. About 2 months ago, I removed the gas tank on my A' to get some rust particles removed. Also cleaned the gas line from the bowl to the carb, and the bowl. Removed the carb, split it and cleaned all parts inside( did not removed or tinker with any jets, floats or any other installed items inside). Applied new gasket and put the halves back together. Everything has been fine until yesterday. I cranked her up and the engine now "lopes". I've had this machine for 4 years and this is the first time this has ever happened. Could it be fuel starvation, governor problem or something else?
Your expert assistance is always appreciated.

Watch the governor linkage that attaches to the carberator when the engine is loping, If you can phyiscally see the governer linkage to the carb moving this indicates that the governor is causing the throttle position to change rapidly thus causing the loping. If this is the case, There are adjustment screws on the governor to correct this.If the linkage is not moving any, then your problem is in the carberator.

Rick, Loping or surging, could possible be from some fuel restriction, but it could also be, and many times is in the governor. If it surges while throttling up, but smooths out some at full throttle under a load, then it could very possible be your governor misfunctioning.
