Ed, I purchased a new one that was advertised for several tractors such as the Farmall 230 and 240. It cost a little over $200. I had to cut part of the tube going to the block to make it fit and the neck was not as high as the original 240. I would not recommend adapting one though. As Hugh said these are very hard to fnd.

Ed: Almost nil, those tractors don't get junked very often. Besides most of the rads will be as old as yours. There are a lot of tractors from that era that still have the factory radiator. I had mine recored at a local rad shop, expensive but probably good for another 40 years.

Ed: Yes the cost was $380. in Canadian funds here in Ontario. About $275. USD. I am very happy with the job that was done, it fit on well and has worked excellent. Old iron is big business in this area, so the rad shops have experience.

I will caution you however, find a rad shop that is right into doing tractors, particularly old tractors. I have some friends who live in an area with not much farm presence, and they have had some bad experiences. Just be a bit selective on the shop, find out their experience with tractor rads.
