Bought Super c with no serial #. The engine block casting # are c serial number under #1 plug is FCM 81085 can anyone tell me what year this is. Did they build a super c and put a c engine in it maybe some else did. Confused. Thanks for any help.

The serial number would indicate a 51 C. Are you sure it's not a C with Super C decals? Are the clutch & brake pedals straight? Does it have band brakes? Is the hand crank hole in line with the lowest grill slat & not several inches below? If so, it's a C, not a Super C.

it is a super c am restoreing it. All casting # start with 351 or lift starts with 354 has fast hitch and all. But pedals are straight. Block has 251 cast # what shows to be c really confused now.

If it has straight brake pedals it is a C -- brake covers are stamped steel, not cast as with Super C brakes. You have a C113 engine not the C123 that came on the Super C. To see when it was built look for casting numbers on several parts of your tractor--the part numbers you quoted are not casting numbers. A number in the format of month*day*year on several parts will tell you about when your tractor was assembled, ie, 1*8*S means the part was cast on Jan 8 1949. For the C, which was built 1948-51, letters are R through W (for some reason both U and W indicate 1951).
