The distributor on my farmall cub is only working the points from three lobes and not all four. I have considered taking it out and rebuilding it thinking maybe it is a bushing or something simple. Is there anything special that I need to know about this distributor before removing it. I know about the timing deal but I'm not sure if there is anything attached to the distributor that could fall into the engine when removed.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Mark

If its a IH distributor NO you wont drop anything but do watch out for the little drive gear lug when you pull it. It will come out on its own but I dont beleve there is any way to drop anything in the motor. But then again I have heard stranger things. JON
